Care Instructions
How do I take care of my jewelry?
Trelawni is made to be lived in — water, sweat, showers, and swimming are all fine, so you never have to take it off. After salt water or chlorine, rinse with fresh water and pat dry with a soft cloth. Apply perfume and lotion first, then put your jewelry on. Store pieces separately so they don't scratch one another, and skip abrasive cleaners or polishing cloths made for solid gold — the bonded PVD finish doesn't need them.
Do you have a warranty?
Yes. If your piece arrives with a manufacturing defect, or the gold finish fails under normal everyday wear, we'll repair or replace it — just email info@trelawni.com with your order number and a photo. Covered: defects in materials and craftsmanship, and failure of the PVD finish under normal wear. Not covered: everyday scratches, impact or misuse, harsh chemicals, and lost or stolen items.
Will it fade, tarnish, or turn my skin green?
No. The 18k gold is bonded to the steel through physical vapor deposition (PVD), so it won't flake, fade, or rub off the way traditional plating does. The hypoallergenic steel core is lead-free, cadmium-free, and REACH-compliant, so it won't tarnish, react in water, or turn your skin green — even with daily wear.
Do you create custom pieces?
Not at this time — but we're always adding new designs, so keep an eye on new arrivals.

Sourcing & Materials
18k Gold PVD
Our gold is applied through physical vapor deposition (PVD), which bonds 18k gold to the metal at a molecular level. Unlike traditional plating that sits on the surface and wears away, PVD is fused on — so the finish won't tarnish, fade, flake, or discolor your skin, even after years of daily wear.
Hypoallergenic Steel Core
Beneath the gold is a hypoallergenic stainless steel core — never brass. It's lead-free, cadmium-free, and REACH-compliant, so nickel release stays within the EU's safe limit for prolonged skin contact. Gentle on sensitive skin, and made to never rust, corrode, or react in water.
Transparent Values
We're honest about what this is: 18k gold bonded to surgical-grade steel — not solid gold, and not priced like it. No inflated markups, no pieces too precious to wear. Real materials, built to last, so you get jewelry you can actually live in.
